Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIOLET HARKINS (nee CAMPBELL) It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Violet Harkins beloved wife of John, on July 12, 2005, at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Violet celebrated her 90th birthday on February 19, 2005. She was born in Winnipeg, her parents were Hugh and Anne Campbell. Violet's memory will be forever cherished by her husband, John; her brothers Hugh (Gladys) of Kamloops, BC and Roy (Marlene); sister Anne (John) Mitchell, all of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Margaret Campbell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and also great-nieces and nephews. Violet and John celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. They made their home in West Kildonan. In her early years she was employed by Eaton's Catalogue Division. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Pastor Andrew Porterfield officiating. John would like to thank his niece Jackie Reykdal for all her help and generous support during this trying time, also special thanks to the staff at Sharon Home for their loving care and attention. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation Inc., 2300 McPhillips St., Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3.
